Technician at the Kurchatov Institute in Gatchina. On 5 April 2024, he was taken into custody on charges of disseminating knowingly false information about the Russian Armed Forces because of several publications about the war, including a Deutsche Welle video titled "Attack on Pavlograd, how Putin is preparing for a defensive war and undermining the combat capability of the Russian Army". On 22 November 2024, it became known that Bogmut was not receiving medical care in the pre-trial detention centre.
