In December 2022, was fined 30,000 rubles under the administrative article on discrediting the army (Article 20.3.3 of the CAO) because of a comment on social media with the words "The ship didn't sink, the ship went to fuck because it was a Russian warship".

In January 2022, he was fined 30,000 rubles in a case of violence against a representative of the authorities (part 1 of article 318 of the Criminal Code), details are unknown.

On March 30th, 2023 Kolosov was detained in a case of attempted participation in an illegal armed formation. Later, the charge was reclassified to preparation for participation in military actions on the territory of a foreign state for purposes contrary to the interests of the Russian Federation. He was accused of preparing to join the Freedom of Russia legion. Kolosov's acquaintance claims that he supported the legion, but did not intend to fight.

On October 1st, 2024, Kolosov was sentenced to nine years in a strict regime colony. On December 19th, 2024, the court of appeal reduced the sentence by two months.

In April 2025, it became known about a new criminal case against Kolosov - on the website of the Meshchansky District Court of Moscow appeared a card of the session on the extension of his arrest in the case of confidential cooperation with a representative of a foreign state. The details of this case are unknown. In October 2025, Kolosov said in a letter that another charge was added to the case - public justification of terrorism.
