A resident of Stavropol. On 22 September 2022, he was detained for pasting anti-war leaflets. In a letter from the pre-trial detention centre he noted that he was officially arrested only on September 30. What happened to him between these dates remains unknown. No information could be found indicating that he was subjected to administrative detention during this period. On 26 September 2022, an administrative case was filed in court for discrediting the Armed Forces (Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences) due to the anti-war leaflets Gladkiy had pasted up. On 12 December 2022, he was fined 15 thousand rubles (US$ 186) for this case. On 30 September Gladkii was taken into custody on charges of high treason (in his letter he specifies that he took the text of the leaflets from the Telegram channel of the Freedom of Russia Legion) and preparing to commit a terrorist act (the details of this charge are unknown). On 29 October 2024, Gladkii was sentenced to 15 years in a strict regime colony.

How to write the letter?

Getting started
What can I write about?
On censorship: what can’t I write?
Is it allowed to send photographs?
What language do I use in my letter?
What are the limits on sending letters?
Should I expect a reply and do I have to respond?
How do I maintain the correspondence?
I would like to send letters by myself, how do I do it?
How else can I support Russian dissidents?
It says that the prisoner I was assigned was tried for terrorism, or extremism or something else scary, what’s up with that?
