Resident of Kstovo (Nizhny Novgorod region). On 2 July 2024, he was detained in Akhtubinsk (Astrakhan region), and on the same day, 22 other people were searched in Kstovo as part of a case of extremist organisation activity in connection with involvement in the Jehovah's Witnesses community. Representatives of this community are prosecuted under extremist articles solely for religious activities: meetings, joint worship services, attracting new followers.
Telegram channel "Operative bulletins" claims that 1.5 million rubles and 1,000 euros in cash were found in the believer's possession. Anufriev and his wife were transported to Kstovo and taken into custody the next day.

How to write the letter?

Getting started
What can I write about?
On censorship: what can’t I write?
Is it allowed to send photographs?
What language do I use in my letter?
What are the limits on sending letters?
Should I expect a reply and do I have to respond?
How do I maintain the correspondence?
I would like to send letters by myself, how do I do it?
How else can I support Russian dissidents?
It says that the prisoner I was assigned was tried for terrorism, or extremism or something else scary, what’s up with that?
